At the end of the seventies, Azul Morris started to work at the Printing House Madero, where she was the assistant of Vicente Rojo and was an important part of the distinguished generation of new artists and graphic designers.

She collaborated in multiple projects of books, magazines, catalogues, posters, and invitations for educational and cultural institutions. She made the design of the magazine La Universidad en el Mundo, of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), as well as a number about the Historic Center of the magazine Casas & Gente. She participated in projects for El Colegio de México, the National Institute of Fine Arts, the Ministry of Education (SEP), the Cervantino International Festival of 1983, as well as several museums and galleries.

In the Extension Department of the UNAM, he was Head of the Department of Communication and Design of Special Projects. Some of his Works were: the magazine Revista de Bellas Artes, in collaboration with Vicente Rojo; he helped Peggy Espinosa with the layout and design of the children’s magazine Chispa; Tina, Tinísima catalogue with; as well as the design of the Jornadas Vasconcelianas, for one year, with a series of posters, books, programs, invitations, and other materials.

In 1984, he was admitted in the Basel School of Arts and Crafts, in Switzerland, where he studied a graduate degree and specialized in Graphic Design. During his stay, he was granted with a scholarship from SEP and received support from the Swiss government.

When she came back to Mexico, she collaborated in the design of seven numbers of the magazine Obelisco and was designated the director of art of the magazine Artes de México, for which she designed the new era. Between 1988 and 1993, this publication got, in several occasions, the Caniem Award to the Editorial Art, the National Award of Graphic Arts, as well as the Mexico’s Award in 1993, granted by the Board of Mexican Design Associations.

In 1991, she founded the design studio El Taller, where she currently develops editorial and artistic projects, with more than a hundred publications, among books, magazines, art catalogues, brochures, posters, programs, and institutional reports. These projects have been granted with the Quorum Award multiple times and received a dozen honorable mentions.

She has collaborated with: Aeroméxico (magazine Premier), Américo Arte Editores, Banco Bital (art books by Sebastian, Tamayo and Frida Kahlo), Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (book 13 × 10. La escritura. Fotógrafos mexicanos), Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales México, Fomento Cultural Banamex (book Arte plumaria en México), Foundatio Herdez, Foundation Ingeniero Alejo Peralta y Díaz Ceballos (corporate image), Foundation Sebastian, Instituto Bert Hellinger de México (magazine Revista de Constelaciones Familiares y Sistémicas), Landucci Editores, Maribel Portela, Talamontes Editores (collaboration with Juan Rafael Coronel Rivera), Tane Orfebres, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, among others.

Together with her professional work, she has given courses at universities about editorial design and graphic design project management. She has also participated as lecturer and presenter in academic activities and has been part of the jury in graphic design contests.

From 1994 to 1997, she had a scholarship by the National System of Creators of the National Council for Culture and Arts. In 2006, she had two individual exhibitions and a collective one about her graphic design work. In 2012, she participated in the Program of Art Residencies Fonca-Conacyt, in the publishing house Tara Books from Chennai, India.
