Definición de Psicología
Resumen
A continuación se presenta un mapa conceptual de la definición de psicología y sus elementos a fin de comprender el objeto de estudio que tiene esta ciencia. Los elementos de la definición de psicología son: ciencia, conducta, proceso mental y personalidad los que se describen de manera precisa en el mapa. La psicología es ciencia porque es sistemática, objetiva y los hechos se pueden comprobar. La conducta son las respuestas de los organismos para adaptarse al medio. Los procesos mentales son actividades internas que no podemos observar directamente (pensar, aprender, recordar, entre otros) pero que influyen en la conducta. A la personalidad se le define como la suma de cualidades o características físicas o psíquicas que hacen a una persona diferente a las demás, cabe hacer mención que existen diversas definiciones de personalidad y todas ellas consideran los rasgos que distinguen a una persona de otra.

Abstract
Below is a concept map from the definition of psychology and its elements in order to understand the object of study that is this science. The elements of the definition of psychology are: science, behavior, mental processes and personality that describe accurately on the map. Psychology is a science because it is systematic, objective and facts can be checked. The conduct is the answers of the organisms to adapt to the environment. Mental processes are internal activities can’t observe directly (thinking, learning, remembering, etc.) but influence the behavior. A personality is defined as the sum of qualities or physical or mental characteristics that make a person different from the others; it is worth mentioning that there are various definitions of personality and considers all the features that distinguish one person from another.
