This book is divided into ten parts and contains 24 chapters, through this book we can notice the importance that the English Language Teaching has and the complex of each one of the elements that must be handled by English Teachers.

The first part of the book is about how English has changed in the world as a global language and describes the English language from different perspectives as the use, meaning, purpose, grammar, lexis, sounds, speaking and writing.

In part number two the writer talks about the methods and techniques that can be used in the English Language Teaching as acquisition and learning, repetition and humanistic teaching, he also talks about the most popular methodologies and which one to use.

In the part number three the book describes the function of learners and teachers, the students at different ages, the learner’s differences, the different levels and how to motivate students, the writer talks about the different teacher’s roles through activities, mime, gesture and model.

In the fourth part the writer shows how to manage learning, through correcting mistakes and giving feedback in the different skills, another topic that the writer mentions is how to have a successful group and how to group the students for the different activities.

In part number five the writer describes how the classroom has changed through the time, the different resources that can be used in the classroom including technology.

In the sixth part the book is focused on the language, how the language is constructed, how to teach grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

In part number seven the writer explains the different skills, receptive, productive, and speaking, reading, writing and listening and how to implement them in the classroom.

In part number eight the author mentions the importance of planning lessons according with the syllabus and the students’ needs describing procedures, materials and resources.

In the ninth part it is written the importance of evaluation, the different types of testing and how to write and mark tests.

In the last part of the book the author describes the learner autonomy and the teacher development, how to teach learning to learn and the activities in the self-access center, besides the author mentions that the teachers must do different activities after the course as reflection and research in order to improve the English language teaching.
