Abstract
Triniochloa gracilis, a new species from the Sierra Madre del Sur in the Mexican states of Guerrero and Oaxaca, is described and illustrated. The new species is distinguished from all other species of the genus by its narrow panicles and short, equal glumes. A key to all of the known species of the genus is provided.
