Born in Mexico City, stop motion animation filmmaker since 1993, having animated short films with great international recognition.
He has directed short films such as:
"The Great Journey", "The incredible story of The Bird-Girl and TheTerrible boy"," The thing that hurts most in the world " and "The Princess of Trujillo ", These shorts has been awarded in some festivals such as Brazil stop motion Festival, among others.
“Viva el Rey” (2018, Producer, Director, Animator) Awarded with Ariel 2019, Mexican Academy of Science and Arts 2019.
He has also worked on animation projects that have been awarded internationally including:
"Hasta los huesos" (Dir. René Castillo, 2001) (Key animator, Character designer and Production designer- Won the Ariel Award in 2002, 2009 and 2013, the Xiberras Prize, the FIPRESI Prize, the Jury Prize at Annecy in 2001).
"Jacinta" (Dir. Karla Castañeda, 2008) (-Producer and Animation director- Won FICG Prize and the Prize of Film Festival Abu Dhabi Middle East, among others.
"La Noria". (Dir. Karla Castañeda, 2012) (-Producer and Animation director - Best Iberoamerican Short film in Chilemonos, The Ariel Award, among others).
He also directed 10 chapters headed one minute short films for the project Batallón 52.
He has been a member of Fonca, Feca, Sundance Lab and The Rockefeller Foundation.
He directed the music video A Different World for new metal band Korn . Produced by Road runner records in 2016.
He is currently working on his first featured film "Inzomnia", which is under development. For this production, he founded the company Inzomnia S.A. de C.V., along with other animation professionals.
He is one of the 7 directors chosen by Guillermo del Toro to be part of the International Animation Center, (El Taller del Chucho), based in Guadalajara.
