Gerardo Montiel Klint (Mexico City, 1968) is and Industrial Designer from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He is a photographer, teacher, curator, and columnist, interested in facing the photographic image as a phenomenon of ideological transition and its repercussion on the imaginary public. His professional activity, always about photography and image, varies from exhibitions of his work, curatorship and theoretical production.
He is part of the advisory committee of the magazine EXIT (Spain), advisor to the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts MOPA 2013-2017 (USA), member of the advisory committee of the magazine Alquimia (National System of Photographic Libraries, Mexico), Member of the advisory committee of the Foundation Pedro Meyer and the Photo-Museum Cuatro Caminos (Mexico). Member of the National System of Creators of Art FONCA.
He was awarded by the XIII Biennial of Photography 2008; won the Fine Arts Silver Medal 2008; and was awarded by the XI Biennial of Photography 2004.
