Biological artist, teacher and researcher. She is a pioneer in the field of bioart in Mexico, she specializes in biological materials and biofabrication applied to design, art and science. Edith has complementary studies in Art and Biology by the University Oberta of Catalonia; in Ethnography of Objects by the Harvard University Platform; and in Art and New Media by the National Institute of Fine Arts. She is the founder and creative director of BiologyStudio, the first Mexican studio to link art, design and biology, where she currently is experiencing new material options.
