Historical Background

The Office of Languages was founded on June 2000 as a result of an agreement signed by Lic. Juan Manuel Camacho Bertran, President of the University at the time. In accordance with the needs of the University, the act established a network of professionals responsible for teaching foreign languages in order to coordinate their activities as well as foster the teaching and learning process. The main purpose was to set guidelines and promote activities that fulfilled the objective of the University: a comprehensive education for the students, which includes the command of a foreign language.
